First of all! This has Captain America: Civil War spoilers as stated in the tags! If you didn’t blacklist, don’t read, please! Spoilers ahead!
So I’m trying to figure out the words that need to be said to activate Bucky as the Winter Soldier. “Seventeen, benign, nine, homecoming, freight train, one” are the ones I remember or have found online (no idea if there are more). Freight train is an obvious one, reference to Bucky’s “death”. The numbers combined are 1917, Bucky’s birth year, so I guess that could be the meaning. But what about benign and homecoming? Any idea? My guesses are pretty far-fetched. Homecoming maybe because going home is his biggest wish, and benign because that’s what Steve is? No idea, tbh.
So what do you guys think? Any theory?
